Why We Exist…

Our theme verse is “Come, follow me,"’ said Jesus, "and I will make you fishers of men,” which comes from Matthew 4:19.  

This verse tells us that the RBC Student Ministry exists for one purpose… to encourage students to answer Christ’s call on our lives and follow after Jesus, allowing Him to make us fishers of men… disciple-makers!

 

What We Do…

You never know what you’ll get during one of our meeting times!  You could get a candid video of one of our Youth Staff; a surprise visit to somebody’s house caught on tape; a surprise gift certificate giveaway… you just never know! 

 

The "Lighthouse"

The RBC Youth building is known as the "Lighthouse" because we strive to be a beacon or light to guide others to Christ and away from disaster. The Lighthouse has games, video equipment, middle school and high school meeting rooms, and is the base for the "Hiffits" youth worship band.

Beacon Wed Evenings  6:30 - 8:30

 Every week we meet at the church for a time of songs, games, fellowship, God’s Word and Bible teaching.  This is a key bedrock of the student ministry… providing a time for the students to come together in Biblical fellowship in the middle of an oftentimes hectic week.  The Hiffits, our student ministry praise & worship band, leads us in worship through song and then we dive into God’s Word for answers to everything a teenager might have questions about!  Recent Wednesday Night Super Series have included the following:

            + The Power of Sex – a 6-week study on God’s plan for sexuality

+ The Untouchables – a 4-week study on hard-to-handle issues (prejudice, homosexuality, death and disability)

Upcoming Super Series in the Fall, include:

+ Developing Habits that will Change Your Life – a 6-week study on life-altering daily practices

 

FUEL  The Sunday School Experience

Each Sunday morning, from 9:30 until 10:30, we come together for a time of worship through singing, the teaching of God’s Word and a variety of challenges.  There’s always a new video or a new challenge of some kind where you can win CD’s, t-shirts, gift certificates & more!

 

Special Events

Each year, we have several opportunities for spiritual growth… “See You At The Pole" and Disciple Now in the Fall, a Lock-In or Youth Conference in the Spring, and then during the Summer — Mission Trip, leading VBS, Extreme Camp and Super Summer (our leadership training experience)!  There’s always something going on!
