Communion - Connection  - Caring

Welcome!  We are so glad you stopped by our web page. You might be a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ, or you might not even be sure if there is a God or if the person of Jesus Christ is really believable. Either way you are welcome at Rittenhouse. At Rittenhouse Baptist Church our desire is to give people a place to belong before they believe. So what does that mean for you should you want to attend one of our services?

First, we want you to feel welcomed and comfortable. We don’t ask anything of you except that you are respectful to those around you. If you feel like singing, then sing. If you feel like standing, then stand. If you feel like clapping, then clap. If you feel like just sitting quietly and listening that is fine too. People at Rittenhouse worship in a variety of ways and we welcome that.

Second, feel free to ask questions when it is appropriate. This is a safe place. You don’t have to agree with everything. You don’t have to feel like you have it all figured out. We invite your inquiries into the issue of faith and belief. We do believe that Jesus is the only way for a person to get to heaven and would love to share that with you and answer any questions you might have.

Third, don’t stop with just attending our service. If you really want to know what a church believes and practices then you need to get involved in a small group. Rittenhouse offers a variety of Sunday school classes, home Bible studies and other activities that will help you really get a feel for who we are and what we believe.

For now, enjoy. Participate. Sing. Pray. If you really want to experience God today, you have come to the right place. We really want you to feel like you belong before you believe.

How do I become a Christian?

ADMIT that you have sin in your life. Sin is anything we say, think or do that displeases God.

For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23

There is none righteous, not even one.” Romans 3:10

BELIEVE that Jesus loves you and will forgive you of your sin and that He died on the cross, was buried and rose again to purchase a place for you in heaven that He offers as a free gift to you.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

For by grace you have been saved through faith and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9

CONFESS Jesus as the lord of your life.

That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus as Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.”

Romans 10:9-10

RECEIVE Jesus as your personal Savior.

For whoever will call upon the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:13
